The number of Frogs still playing in the NFL playoffs is quickly diminishing. After the Packers were knocked off Sunday afternoon, the Frogs are now down to three.
Safety Colin Jones had two tackles and a fumble recovery for the 49ers in their dramatic win over the Saints. Jones has now totaled eight tackles in special teams duty this season. ESPNDallas.com says the Cowboys missed on Colin Jones. San Francisco faces the Giants on Sunday.
The New England Patriots have offensive tackle Marcus Cannon and defensive back Malcolm Williams. Cannon was selected by his Patriots' teammates as the recipient of the team's 2011 Ed Block Courage Award. After beginning the season on the reserve/non-football injury list, he played in New England's final seven games of the regular season.
Williams has seen action in two contests.
Fourteen former Horned Frog players were active in the NFL this season.
