Andy Dalton Signs on with Nike

If you are a fan of Nike or Andy Dalton, or both like myself, then here is a bit of good information. Dalton is the newest addition to the Nike family.

Set to take over official licensing for the league next season, Nike continues to strengthen their NFL Football roster with highly touted rookies from the incoming draft class. The latest individual to join the Nike Football team is former Texas Christian University quarterback and Cincinnati Bengals draft pick Andy Dalton. For Dalton, this is an extension of the relationship he had with the brand in school, with Texas Christian being one of Nike’s Pro Combat teams last season.

Great move for Dalton to sign on with Nike. As the Eastbay Blog mentioned, he already had a relationship with Nike from his TCU days so it only makes sense to build on that connection. No other athletic company markets their athletes as good as Nike. If you are a big time athlete being endorsed by Nike, the sky is the limit.

Carson Palmer Sells Home

If you didn’t think Carson Palmer was serious about retiring from the Cincinnati Bengals, you might want to sit down. It just got a little more real.

His brother, Jordan, refers to him as a former teammate. And since mid-winter we've been tracking his real estate transactions.

Channel 9 Sports was first to report he was preparing to list his Indian Hill home for sale, that he had actually done so, that he had accepted an offer on the property and now finally we can report that the deal has closed.

I hope Andy Dalton is getting ready because he could be thrown into the fire fairly quick this season. Although I am anxious to see what Dalton does in the NFL, he looks to be walking into a bad situation. I always said Dalton needs to be drafted by a team who will let him sit and learn for a year or two, but that doesn’t look like it will be the case in Cincinnati.

2011 Boise State Uniforms?

These pictures have been floating around the internet for a couple of weeks now, but I thought I would pass them along since I can’t think of anything else to write about today. Boise State commit Donte Deayon tweeted these pics after his visit to the Boise campus.
