2:30 PM- Versus
Falcon Stadium
Current line: TCU -1.5
It’s another road trip for the Frogs as they head to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force in their MWC opener. This is a game I consider a must win for TCU. In the four seasons TCU won the Mountain West Conference opener, the Frogs went on to post a combined 31-1 league record. In the two years they lost their MWC opener, the Frogs had a combined league mark of 10-6. The last two games at Air Force were decided by 3 point each time, and I don’t expect this one to be much different. Why TCU Wins: I had originally picked TCU to lose this game in my season preview, but I don’t see that happening now since they lost to Baylor. The Falcons only had 9 pass attempts in week 1, so we won’t see the same type of passing attack we saw from Baylor. There is a chance the Frogs could be without starting LB Tanner Brock and RB Ed Wesley, which concerns me, but I still think TCU will be ok.You will see a much improved defense this week.
As long as the Frogs can slow down the Air Force running game and improve upon their offensive showing from week 1, I think TCU gets the victory over Air Force and gets this thing back on track.
Prediction: TCU over Air Force 28-20
Offensive Player of the Game: Casey Pachall
Defensive Player of the Game: Stansly Maponga
