Boise State Messed with Texas?

Not sure if this shirt is being sold by the University or a separate company, but I found this Boise State t-shirt rather amusing.

Boise State has won the game and when you have scoreboard, you can do these types of things. I still think it’s a little amateur though. Oh well, just wanted to post this up on a slow Sunday afternoon.

At least we don’t live in Idaho…

TCU/Baylor Moved to Sept. 18th

I had a posting a few days back talking about the uncertainties with the upcoming TCU Football schedule, but it looks to be falling in place.

Yesterday, ESPN announced that TCU and Oregon State have agreed to play each other and now, the date has been set for the Baylor game.

From KWTX.com

Baylor was originally scheduled to open the 2010 season at TCU, however, that game has moved to Sept. 18th in Fort Worth. The Bears’ will now open their 2010 season against Football Championship Subdivision opponent Sam Houston State of the Southland Conference on Sept. 4 in Waco.

TCU/Oregon State Agree to Play

From ESPN.com

ESPN has confirmed TCU and Oregon State have agreed to play on Sept. 4, at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on the ESPN family of networks. Contracts have been sent to both schools and ESPN is waiting for them to go through each school’s legal counsel and return with signatures.

TCU Football Has Banner Year For Postseason Honors

Twenty-three TCU football players garnered postseason accolades in 2009, including seven All-Americans, while head coach Gary Patterson received nine National Coach of the Year honors.

In defensive end Jerry Hughes, center Jake Kirkpatrick and linebacker Daryl Washington, TCU had three first-team All-Americans for the first time since 1938 (quarterback Davey O’Brien, center Ki Aldrich, tackle I.B. Hale).

Hughes, just the second two-time consensus All-American in TCU history (Darrell Lester, 1934-35), won the Lott Trophy and Ted Hendricks Award.
